**Script:**
*INT. LIVING ROOM - NIGHT*
The camera opens on a cozy living room dimly lit by fairy lights, blankets scattered across the floor. A group of five teenage girls, LAURA (17), EMMA (17), TESSA (16), JASMINE (17), and BECCA (16), are sprawled around, chatting and laughing.
**LAURA**
(Tariff cards/ creepy game cards)
Okay, guys, who wants to know there future?
The other girls groan, clearly skeptical but indulging in the fun.
**JASMINE**
(rolling her eyes)
Come on, Laura. Are we really doing this? This is so dumb.
**BECCA**
(half-laughing)
You’re scared, Jasmine. Admit it.
Jasmine shrugs, half-smiling, trying to play it cool.
**TESSA**
(joking)
You know, last time I did this, I swear something followed me home.
**LAURA**
(mock serious)
Well, now’s your chance to find out if it's still with you.
The girls start moving into a circle, and their laughter fades as they get more caught up in the game.
Suddenly, the lights flicker, cutting off their conversation.
**EMMA**
(frowning)
Was that just me?
**JASMINE**
(glancing nervously around)
Nope. That was real.
**LAURA**
(nods, trying to keep it light)
It’s just the old house. Nothing to worry about.
As they continue the game, the mood shifts. They ask more serious questions, almost as if they’re daring whatever presence might be there to respond.
*CUT TO:*
*INT. HALLWAY - LATER*
The camera pans down a dark hallway. We hear muffled laughter and whispers from the living room. Suddenly, a loud *thud* echoes from one of the rooms.
*CUT BACK TO:*
*INT. LIVING ROOM - SAME TIME*
The girls freeze. The laughter stops abruptly.
**BECCA**
(almost whispering)
What was that?
**LAURA**
(standing up)
I’ll go check.
Laura heads toward the noise, the other girls watching in nervous silence.
*INT. ANOTHER ROOM - CONTINUOUS*
Laura enters a dimly lit room and finds Tessa lying on the floor. She’s not moving.
**LAURA**
(slightly panicked)
Tessa? Tessa, wake up!
Laura kneels beside her, shaking her. Tessa doesn’t respond.
Suddenly, Emma appears at the door, her face going pale.
**EMMA**
(quietly)
Is she...?
**LAURA**
(frightened)
I don’t know. I—I think she’s dead.
*CUT TO:*
*INT. LIVING ROOM - LATER*
The camera shows the girls sitting in a tense circle, huddled together on the floor. Tessa’s body has been removed. Police sirens wail in the distance.
**JASMINE**
(whispering, terrified)
How is this even possible? One minute, she’s laughing with us, and the next—she’s gone?
**BECCA**
(trying to hold it together)
We were all here. We couldn’t have done this.
**LAURA**
(panic creeping in)
But who else was in the house?
**ACT II:**
As the girls start to investigation, truths unfolds. The tension heightens as they reveal disturbing truths about their relationships with Tessa, suggesting motives, insecurities, and jealousy. The girls search online uncovers a possible connection to an online post Tessa had made earlier that day—a cryptic message hinting at something she was struggling with.
But there's a twist: The jasmine find evidence that suggests Tessa might have taken her own life. A cryptic note, a message on her phone. Did she truly commit suicide—or was she murdered?
---
**ACT III - The Twist:**
In a shocking final reveal, it is discovered that Tessa had been alive all along when her body was found by the girls. They'd inadvertently staged her death in a panic, believing she was gone when, in fact, she was only unconscious, having overdosed on pills. The girls, in their fear of what they had done, covered it up, creating a story of a haunting or a murder.
But the biggest twist? Tessa didn’t want to die. She had staged the whole thing herself—intending to manipulate her friends, pushing them to face their own dark secrets, especially Laura, who she felt had betrayed her trust.
---
**PLOT TWIST – EDITING MAGIC:**
In the final scene, Laura’s expression subtly shifts as we reveal a horrifying detail through a clever editing technique—using a cutaway to Laura’s reflection in a dark window, where we glimpse a flash of something far more sinister in her eyes, maybe minutes before she could see Laura holding the pill bottles. Reflecting on the video she could’ve stopped the situation from occurring.
