Planning for my Music Video

When beginning this process of creating the music video, the immediate thought was to do a song by Taylor Swift. This is because all of us enjoy her music and believe she would be the perfect match considering the wide spectrum of genres her music has. The song Getaway Car immediately came into someones mind and we all agreed that it would be perfect. Since the song is very upbeat, catchy and semi-popular, we figured that it would be easy to portray the storyline in our own way for this assignment.

When finding the section of the song we would want to use, the decision came down to two options.

Finally, however, we all agreed to one and began to picture what we wanted to do. The first thought that came to mind was to act out specifically what was being said in the song. Meaning we would need props such as a phone, fake money, keys, and a bag. These would all help the audience to understand what was happening. Given the title of the song, it also became prevalent that we needed a car. This car would be used to show the person getting away quickly from the scene and not looking back. The settings of the music video were also said in the song and would include a motel, a jail, a car, and the bar. These settings would bounce back and forth during the video to show what both characters were doing at once to show our camera skills. Another way of showing our knowledge and editing skills is by doing a flashback and showing reasoning for the getaway car. The costumes would include a prison uniform, formal clothing, an all black outfit, and cop outfit. The prison uniform and formal outfit would be for the person at the motel, prison, and bar (all one person). The cop uniform would be for the person playing the cop. This is because it shows authority and power. While the all black outfit would be for the person driving the getaway car.

When it comes to makeup, this person will also be seen wearing red lipstick and eyeliner.
