Genre blog: thriller!
Hey everyone it is Natalie and in this we will be discussing the genre my group has chosen…Thriller! Now when it comes to this genre, I’ve always been very intrigued and fascinated from all the work it takes to have that end result of a truly interesting and eye-opening thriller. From TV shows to movies I have always been intrigued by this genre. With this suspense that can leave you at the end of your seat throughout the entire film is a feeling I feel is most fun when it comes to being the audience. And now being in this class has taught me to look at the other angle of a thriller film and how creating a film through this genre, truly insists of so many key points to create a memorable thriller. With my experience of working in AS media last year, I was able to learn how truly important is to completely capture and embody the characters.Especially in a the thriller due to how it’s not just like a horror where there can be not a in depth backstory. A thrillers main point is to have a story that is complex to think about and can have not one person come with the same overall idea of what the movie is trying to represent or explain. with that being said, I feel with thrillers there’s multiple perspectives that every person can perceive from a film due to the complexity that it showcases, especially the more uncomfortable subjects that are mind twisting. I also feel that working with this genre can give me and my group a lot of opportunity when it comes to editing in particular as having specific scenes in certain places, and the timing of lighting and sound can truly create a more in depth and surreal film. Which is why I am beyond ecstatic to continue with the process of making our film. and that’s all for right now so thanks for listening and till next time.
