As mentioned the song all of us came up with to use for this project is Getaway car by Taylor Swift. And the genre is pop/singer-songwriter. In which music videos from songs such as Drivers license and Vampire by Olivia Rodrigo. Give us a good insight into how in that category the specific usages of breaking the forth wall in the music videos. Using A LOT of tracking and over the shoulder shots as well. In this specific genre of music we need to be drawn to the artist or what the artist is explaining the emotions of. Almost if not every lyric should be able to match part of the song, to get the visual representation. It can be as simple as a prop that correlates to the main part of the song, a specific costume that shows value to the character or the makeup that can really capture the emotion the person is trying to showcase. With all of those factors all of us can see much more depth of the music video. While analyzing the music videos as well, towards the sound there is usage of both diegetic and non-diegetic sound. Sometimes in the music videos the artist can be seen listening to their song through headphones in the music video. While us as the audience may hear the score of the song instead or basically we hear it much louder to have our main focus on it. Dialogue is also done between characters in the videos, as in sometimes the characters will have dialogue between each other while the song is playing over it and that is all we hear. Or sometimes the music video will come to a pause and we hear dialogue between the characters most likely discussing about the songs story/situation. Overall, in the pop/ singer-songwriter genre they are various convections. We can see in various music videos in our genre and there are some that will most defiantly be included in ours to have that true emotion and depth. The costumes and makeup will be some of the main factors as well. Due to how we feel that will convey much more of the story by giving a look at to whom the characters really are in the music video. Towards editing and shots they will all be mostly surrounding the main character of the music video, it is the focus point of everything really. All of us want the music video to be as relatable and personal as it can be.
